calumea.ro is a portal where everyone can read and write reviews about anything from cafés to beauty salons to medical centers. I created this website because I thought that it is very important for people to be able to share information about who is reliable and customer-oriented and who is not. Hopefully this will also encourage facilities, contractors etc. to provide better services.
The project started for Cluj, my home city, but it will hopefully expand to cover Bucharest and other cities. This website is all in Romanian.
Star-based rating with text reviews, rating by category (quality, speed of service etc.), reputation points for each user, recommendations based on high ratings, RSS feeds of updates.
The Eliot House website has been my most ambitious project so far. Over the course of the last semester I have worked extensively perfecting the layout and content of each page, so please look at the screenshots, and be sure to check out the panoramas!

Students all across Harvard often produce very high quality work that is hardly ever read by anyone other than the instructor. If every student produced only one piece of worthwhile original research or writing every year, then there would still be over 6000 papers worth publishing here.
This website allows any Harvard affiliate to publish their work and have it displayed through the lightweight Scribd iPaper viewer. The viewer is not only fast and powerful, but also prevents visitors from downloading the original or extracting text.
I have published the code used for Drupal-iPaper integration as a module for Drupal. The code has been in development since June 2008, but is already being used on over 400 websites. The website is still being tested.
close Scribd iPaper integration, interface for faculty, sophisticated privacy controls and content visibility settings, related content display
Initially the HCGP website served only content from our magazine, but now it also features blogs where members write about their experiences in and thoughts about various countries. A useful feature is the revision comparison tool, which can be used to give members feedback on their draft submissions.
This website was built without editing a single piece of code from the Drupal core and contributed modules, and it is currently being maintained by Aaron Macher, our editor. Aaron learned all the ins and outs of Drupal by browsing around, which proves how easy it is to build websites nowadays!
GRSPSociety is an open network of organizations and individuals committed to advancing Romania's development and modernization through civic involvement and professionalism. I'm happy to be a member of this group and created this website to give members a platform to interact online.
forums, online profiles, member database and forms for various purposes
The Root Cause Social Innovation Forum runs an annual competition for their Social Innovator Award, which gives several high-performing nonprofits the opportunity to get free consulting services and to get connected to funders. The initiative needed an online portal to collect applications and evaluate them.
Complex forms and exports of collected data (both from applicants and evaluators). Side-by-side display of application responses and evaluation reviews (for evaluators). Submission review and email acknowledgment (for all users). Easy configuration of forms through intuitive interface (for administrators).
My first website, which I built for the Harvard Association Cultivating Inter-American Democracy. It was built from a Dreamweaver template. Unfortunately the organization has recently replaced the website with a new design, so I am linking to the one I made.
This is a basic HTML website that I built for a friend.

I designed my first website because I was tempted by the compensation, but since then most of my projects have been unpaid. I've told myself many times that I should quit working on websites and spend more time reading (or going out) instead. But every time, I discovered something new and exciting that can be done with web technologies, and soon I found myself again configuring and coding into the late hours of the night.
Drupal
All but three of the websites here are built with Drupal, an open source content management system(CMS). Along with other CMS, Drupal allows you to design and maintain websites without knowledge of HTML or of scripting. In addition to user built-in features like accounts, menus and themes, you can install modules that allow you to set up blogs, forums, upload photos/videos, and pretty much anything that you can think of.
You can see more major websites that use Drupal here and see some video tutorials here.
